One thing I do as often as I can is demo putters at my local courses. I’ll browse the putter inventory in the pro-shop and take a couple out for a
spin. This really helps you get a good feel for which type of putters fit your stroke.
Don’t be shy, ask the club Pro to help you test each putter. Most club Pros get commissions on pro-shop sales, so they would be more than happy to help. You may get some free putting tips as well! One other thing to remember is to make a note of which putters you’re demoing so you can do some online research when you get home.

What is the best putter? Well it’s kind of a trick question. When you’re hunting for your perfect putter, it’s not like hat shopping where its one size
fits all.
There are many different sets of criteria that need to be considered when selecting your perfect putter. Items like putter heads, inserts, shafts, shaft length, etc. Making these decisions with the most knowledge possible is the goal of this site, along with lowering our handicaps of course.

J . T . asked: I’ve seen the:
Top Flite XL set
2 Golden Bear sets
Maxfli Fire set
2 Slazenger sets.
The sets are all under $300; & all come w/ drivers, 3-5 woods, hybrids, 5-pw/sw irons and a putter.

Jay Granat asked:
Tired of choking on three foot putts? Sick of losing to golfers you can beat, because you can’t putt? Do you have a garage full of putters which have never improved your putting?
Are you great on the practice green, but terrible when the pressure is on?
Golf can be quite frustrating. The yips, problems with the short game and putting woes can drive professional golfers and amateur golfers crazy.
Golfers spend a lot of time and money on lessons, new equipment, training aids and videos. Now there is not necessarily anything wrong with doing this. However, putting is quite mental. Yet many golfers fail to address the mental, psychological and emotional aspects related to sinking long putts and short putts.
In order to putt well, you need to know how to be relaxed, confident and focused. You also need to know how to get your mind and your body to zero in on the task at hand and forget about the last shot or the next hole you are about to play. You have to know how to get into the present. And, to be a great and efficient putter, you need to learn how to get your mind into your putting gear quickly and efficiently.
In order to relax on the green, you need to slow down your mind, your body and your breathing. You need to rid yourself of tension and anxiety.
You can do this by learning meditation, self-hypnosis or relaxation procedures.
You also need to know how to tune out distractions and focus in on your line or your target. Most golfers need to know how to awaken a part of their mind and their eyes which gets them into precision mode.
A patient of mine who came to see me about his putting was a diamond cutter by profession. I trained him to use this kind of precision when he got onto the green.
You also need to know how to help yourself to feel more confident. I teach golfers how to get their mind into a confident place before they stand over the ball and before they tee off. You need to know what makes you confident and gets you to believe in yourself and your abilities. Many golfers have never thought about this issue and, consequently, they don’t know how to think and behave like a champion.
Once you master the mental aspects of putting which include knowing how to stay relaxed, calm, focused and confident before you strike the ball and when you hit your putts, your scoring will improve and you will feel more like a champion when you play.

skimboarder24/7 asked:
Titleist clubs are by far the most expensive out there.. they arent sold at major retailers such as ***** or sports authority like every other brand out there either. they only make better player and tour irons and no major game improvement clubs besides their vokey design wedges which are the most used wedges on tour. the titleist balls and scotty cameron putters are also the best around but yet the only things sold widely are the balls. golf digest doesnt even compare or rate their irons , woods, or hybrids in there articles. is the titeilist brand elite compared to other brands and are they the best performance wise.
