The best advice I can give you is to go try different sets out and whatever one feels and performs the best for you then those are the ones you buy. I would also have them custom fit your specifications. Good luck.

There is such a wide variety of golf clubs that it all comes down to personal preference. Some reviews in magazines and on shows suggest that Titleist make the best irons, Taylormade make the best drivers, Odyssey make the best putters and Cleveland make the best wedges. It seems to be an ''okay'' statement only because they are generally the most popular brands. There isn't a best brand only because there are soo many different preferences and there isn't any proof of a best brand because people on the PGA tour all use different varieties of clubs...You can't base any judjements of clubs on the pro's who use them for example : Tiger Wood's clubs aren't considered the best just because he uses them. Tiger uses his clubs, he doesn't let his clubs use him . Just try different clubs and then you can decide the best ones because everyone's opinion is likely to be different.

Very experienced golf players usually don’t have any difficulty in getting the correct golf club without a blink of an eye, but for beginners, conditions are different. You need to be sure that you’re getting the correct golf club since this could mean better results from you. After all, this is part of the golf playing tricks beginners and professionals recognize alike.

In my thought I think for the Drivers it would be Taylor made because their shafts are longer in which your swing will be greater. Woods, there are not that many good ones but for woods just prefer your own brand. Iron of course would the Titlist ones because they are the best on tour. Wedges they could be Titlist or Cleveland. Putters obviously Odessy.

But for me my golf set is all Taylormade Burners. Burner Irons, Burner Driver, Burner Woods but Callaway Wedges.

If you're asking what are the best golf clubs out there, you'll get a whole hosts of answers. But if you're asking what are the best clubs for you, go to your nearest large golf store & start hitting lots of clubs. Most have launch monitors that give you feedback about distance, spin, & accuracy.

For the irons, a scratch golfer probably wants to stay with the blades because of the feedback they give you (cavitybacks keep you straighter on offcenter hits, but are poor on feedback).

If you consistently hit your putts within1/4 inch of the center, you can play with any putter, so go mainly with how it feels in your hands when you stroke it. If you are not as consistent, go with a mallet that has most of its weight at the edges & towards the back (enlarges the sweet spot).

Bottom line -- never rely on recommendations from anyone without actually hitting the clubs. Take every opportunity you can to try other clubs. It may take awhile, but eventually you'll find the perfect set -- i.e. the perfect set for you!
