Golf Clubs?

AL c asked:

I wanna get my dad some thing “golf” for his bday.

what sort of club will he need the most (he already has a pinemeadow set) or putter that you think a general player needs the most?

and do you know a really good club that is cheap?
so best value? under $50 preferably
or a best value putter?

and do you know a good site that has this stuff? maybe a site with free shipping?

thx

Most golfers would prefer to pick out their own clubs and with that said, the better clubs and putters run well over $50, heck even top of the line golf balls can run that much. What about a gift card for a local golf store or for a round of golf at his favorite course.

Being a dad myself, trust me when I say he will appreciate whatever you pick for him particularly if you took the time to look for something you know interests him.

Does he have a hybrid club? That could make a good gift. Or you could just get him a gift card to Golf Galaxy or another golf store.

Go to a Golfsmith (if you have one in your area) and build a club together. The fitting Pro will let you build the club while you’re there and they will only charge you for the materials used. You should be able to buy a Snake Eyes wedge for $50 or less. I think that they give you the option between a Snake Eyes wedge or a really cheap driver. The Snake Eyes 60 degree wedge is actually a pretty good one. I use a Snake Eyes 60 and a Vokey 56.

If you don’t have a Golfsmith, look for a used sporting goods store and buy him a used wedge, Odyssey putter, or a Calloway Heavenwood. All 3 good options and it’s feasible to buy any of these for $50 or less.
