How much should I pay to re-grip golf clubs?

Socal Bong asked:

I would get medium to low end grips (cheaper, but not cheapest) for a full set (excluding putter).

How much should I expect to pay in total? (grips and labor/service)

Please do not tell me that I can spend more than $1,000.00 (my clubs aren’t even worth that much) to get my clubs regripped; I already explained that I am leaning toward the cheaper end yet for some reason people also like to talk only about the best and most expensive like they want to scare you out of it.

If I was picking grips on a scale of 1 – 10 with 1 being the cheapest and 10 being the best, I would be getting something around a 3. If you still can’t comprehend this then please do not bother answering.

Once again, I am just looking for a total in US $ as to how much I should expect to spend for grips and installation (total cost).
Actually I found my own best answer. Golfsmith currently has a 99 cents per club special ($2.99 regular) and with this coupon I’ll also get 25% off of the grips.

Yes I know that 99 cents does not include the grips, that is only the replacement/labor cost but that along with getting 25% off on the grips makes it a good deal (much better than the answers I’ve received so far).

Please do not try to explain to me that I have to pay for the grips and the replacement/labor/service costs. I understand that. My total cost will be 99 cents per club PLUS the costs of the grips. That would be true almost everywhere and in any case. Please do not waste your time trying to point out that I am paying more than 99 cents. I already know that and understand that and if you read this you would recognize that.

Once again, I know that my total cost is NOT just 99 cents. I understand that but apparently you don’t. I get it. Don’t try to explain.

I’m a scratch golfer in south Texas. I’m a sophomore in high school. After so many tournaments my curiosity started to grow, I mean, “to each his own” I understand everyone plays what they like. I like PING and all my clubs are, well, PING. My question is what brand is best, or believed to be the best for Drivers, Woods, Irons, Wedges, and Putters?
