Choosing golf sets for a beginner is really a judgment call. Go with what you feel comfortable with. Go to a shop where you can swing the clubs and maybe even hit some balls with from different manufacturers. In reality, the clubs won’t a big difference especially for the beginner. Maybe, when you are a more advanced level the clubs may make a difference; but right now you should get something you feel comfortable with, practice, play, and maybe take a few lessons.

overal, you will have a great set for little more or about $500. It would be hell of a lot better then any of those other brands. Trust me, all of slazengers products rock.

It depends on who it is for and how “well” the person plays and what “set” the person who is going to use it “prefers. Golfers are “funny” people and all have their own “preference and usually “stick” to one type of club. You also need to know their handicap. What you also might want to look into is “involving” the person who the clubs are for in the purchase as there are things that involve the purchase of the clubs that only they can determine. They may rather have a “used” set that is in good condition that they can get for the same price but is a better brand instead of one you mentioned. You’ve chosen a terrific gift but trust me, a very personal one and one you may want to “let the receiver” in on. There is much more to buying golf clubs than you can ever imagine. It’s gotten so complicated for me that I now just give “gift certificates so my Hubby can purchase his own, he’s much happier that way. I failed too many times buying the wrong putter or wood.
